Gulls archiveAfter years of not facing up to her brother's situation, Bill's sister Frances decides to rescue him from the loneliness of a home. They start a new life by the sea and things seem to be going well. Their busybody neighbour, Molly, looks after Bill while Frances works in the library and slowly he starts to regain his understanding of the world. Then Dan walks back into their lives and tries to rekindle the on-off relationship he and Frances have been having for years. Frances is torn between her love for her brother and her desire for Dan, which has a profound effect on Bill . . . Gulls is a funny, sad and extremely moving story of love, guilt and letting go. Throughout the play, Bill communicates his thoughts and feelings in witty, humorous conversations with the audience. His friends are the seagulls that fly around the house that Frances has bought for them.
