Garden archiveDown in the Garden, preparations are underway for the annual village fete but clouds are gathering everywhere, in the sky and within personal lives. There's never been a storm quite like this before! House and Garden are two linked comedies played simultaneously in adjacent auditoria by the same cast! Alan Ayckbourn's two linked plays House and Garden are played in repertory together at the National. Garden is set outside the House which provides the setting for a simultaneous production in the Lyttelton. The same actors play characters in both the comedies, running from one stage to another. The shows can also be seen as individual pieces. Each Play 2 hrs 20mins. Evening performances continue in the foyer for approx 45mins.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021.
