Gamblers archiveFirst seen at the Pleasance, Edinburgh as part of the 1998 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received a Fringe First nomination and a five star review from 'The Scotsman'. The great Russian fantasist himself, Nicolai Gogol wrote this eccentric comedy in 1840. Four bloodthirsty card sharks unite to strip a wealthy youth of his family fortune but will they win and can they trust each other if they do? This hilariously unsentimental piece is a must-see for lovers of off-beat, coarse and snappy theatre.
