Details
'One' is a middle age man desperately trying to come to terms with his crippling insecurity, the residue of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of a trusted and idolized teacher. Articulate and well read, he has gone through every form of therapy to relieve himself of his daily anxiety but nothing has worked, because he doesn't trust anyone with his secret. His only vent for communication is a solitary tape recorder, and he doesn't entirely trust that. Over four acts ?One' spills his secrets into the recorder - everything he has ever meant to say but never could. Through a series of monologues Craig Conway's astonishing one-man performance charts his character's remarkable journey through traumatic abuse, self-discovery and ultimately redemption. This production contains strong language themes of an adult nature that some audience members may find distressing or difficult. Running time: 1hr 15mins
