If I told you I loved this city; love the way it opens it ways and lanes to me, love the way it takes and absorbs me without making a fuss; love the way it winds my walking to its contours, gives resistance to my dreaming - would you be jealous? A love song to your city. With MP3 player and mobile phones, take a journey, inward and outward, through the thoroughfares and back alleys of East London. The winner of the 2010 award for Best Theatre Production at the Adelaide Fringe, en route combines local music and snatches of narrative, musings, sound, dialogue, philosophy with the wanderings, observations and experiences of each audience member, opening up a field for multiple ways of seeing the city, themselves, and others. The project is presented by Theatre Royal Stratford East and will take place around Stratford. en route is not suitable for children
