Elegies For Angels, Punks and Raging Queens archiveThis acclaimed theatre piece is a collection of poems and songs portraying characters who have live, died and been affected by the AIDS epidemic. using both the Names Project quilt and Edgar Lee Masters Spoon River Anthologies as sources of inspiration, Elegies finds, within such frightening and devastating human suffering, an unwavering sense of humanity, humour, humility and determination to survive and live life to the full. This production is staged in aid of The Globe Centre, based in East London, which serves all people affected by HIV - for which there is still no cure.
