Details
At the heart of Daily Bread lies the sweat of the contemporary world of work, its tendency to consume people, define people, shape identities, justify our very existence, work as a kind of hell, a rare heaven, more likely a kind of limbo. Its pace gets inside our systems; the fast and furious pace of the young executive with constant deadlines to meet or the painfully slow, hands of the clock scarcely moving pace of the bored barmaid. Five characters live trough a typical day of work - the games you have to play, the rules you are forced to follow and the strategies you must adopt in order to survive.
