This superbly written double bill shows a wonderful understanding of family relationship and combines humour, sadness and drama. Two working class northern families in the 1960's are being joined together with the marriage of the Luca's daughter to the Fuller's son. On the night before THE WEDDING in a room above 'The Cricketers Arms' tempers are getting a little frayed with last minute arrangements. Six months later, the families are re-united for THE FUNERAL of Great Uncle Arthur, when an unexpected visitor stirs up emotions.
