Beowulf the Dragon Slayer archiveRetelling of the thrilling adventures of Beowulf, it brings vividly to life one of the oldest-known English poems and one of the world's greatest stories. The play follows Beowulf's youthful exploits and his rivalry with his companion, Breca; his battles against Grendel the monster and against Grendel's Mother when she seeks revenge; and the years of his long and peaceful reign, culminating in his final encounter with a fearful dragon. Through storytelling, giant puppets and a host of exciting theatrical techniques, the play superbly conjures up all the excitement and exuberance of the ancient Anglo-Saxon world.
