What do you do when desire ferments for so long that it rots? What happens when you hold on to a dream for so long and so tightly that you crush it? Three aging punk rockers meet up for one last tour. The fact that they now despite each other seems hardly relevant. They attempt to put aside old wounds, but new betrayals undermine their fragile truce. Taking its title from Kafka's gloomy phrase, "in the struggle between yourself and the world...back the world", this play is a bleakly comic look at the conflicts between nostalgia, idealism and the dangerous inevitability of compromise.
