Yasmina Reza's play is essentially about the concepts of friendship and value, and the way in which the two can cause conflict. One friend tries to appease a quarrel between two others over the purchase of a work of art, but in doing so only makes things worse, forcing all three of them to re-examine their friendship and the direction in which it is going.1997 - Olivier Award Best Comedy. 1998 - Tony Award Best Play Performed in the original French.
