Overwhelmed by the feeling that although life may be getting better, everyone is actually getting unhappier, Katie Jackson set out to try and work out why this was. She circulated surveys, she looked at graphs, she read books, she asked people how they felt: she didn't get very many answers. This piece is a reaction to the unhappy generation, striving to be better without really knowing what is wrong. Delving into individual's lives, Are You Happy Now? takes modern notions of happiness and pokes them with a stick.
