Too many sickly-sweet images of vets in practice on telly? Does 'Animal Hospital' do your head in? Is it telling the whole story? Why not have these questions redressed in Animal Heaven? We are a nation of animal lovers, aren't we? And animal care has a high priority on many people's agendas. But, can through the sentimentality, and the naked flesh of practical welfare is exposed. Animal Heaven is a black comedy dissecting the notions of the pet loving society we live in. As this dark twisted tale unfolds, cynical, old school vet, David Gordon tries to instil the values of 'real' veterinary practice into his idealistic, young student, with horrific results. 'Animal Hospital' it ain't!
