A Listening Heaven archiveA struggle is taking place in a normally quiet corner of England. Passionate eco-warriors, an advancing motorway and a deep love of trees seem to have forced a young man into a desperate action. His respectable family are in a state of shock. Gillian thinks that art is the answer but she's strapped for cash. David wants everyone to be happy, while Helen has one eye firmly fixed on the Grand Prix. Christine just wishes to get through the day without running out of cashew nuts. Will they all be able to pull together while the ground, almost literally, is crumbling beneath their feet? World Premiere on 23rd Jul 1999 in the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.
