A Christmas Carol archiveDickens's original story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and yet to come. A Christmas Carol is a novel by Charles Dickens about Ebenezer Scrooge, a grumpy, bitter and miserly old man. Exactly seven years after his business partner's death on Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by four ghosts, starting with his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley. The three spirits which follow, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come, show Scrooge how his mean behaviour has affected those around him. At the end of the story he is relieved to discover that there is still time for him to change and we see him transformed into a generous and kind-hearted human being. Come along and enjoy a very-well-rehearsed reading of this popular and classic ghost story just before Christmas!
