7 Veils - an evening with Mati Hari is a brand new one-woman show based on the life of one of the most surprising and mysterious female heroines of the twentieth century. Lady Margaretha Zelle MacLeod, better known as Mata Hari, the famous exotic dancer, was executed as a spy by a French firing squad on 15 October 1917. It's a good story. But it isn't the one she wants to tell you. 'History is the opposite of remembering. We tell each other stories so that we don't have to remember.'
