Red Cape Theatre created the highly acclaimed The Idiot Colony, which mesmerised packed houses in the Ustinov in 2009. Now, the Ustinov has invited them back to work on their new show, 1 Beach Road. Drawing from interviews with residents of coastal towns in the east of England that are beginning to disappear into the sea, this work-in-progress aims to weave the intimate history of two people and their experiences of Alzheimer’s with myths of man’s eternal partnership with the sea
