Details
Britain's only annual horror theatre festival featuring different plays. The season will feature poetry, puppetry and a host of spine-tingling thrillers to celebrate the most basic human emotion of terror. Highlights include productions of DeSade by Darren Ormandy, The Red Room by HG Wells adapted and directed by Justin Butcher, The Premature Burial by Edgar Allan Poe adapted by Adam Meggido, The End of the Party by Graham Greene adapted by William Stewart, Ambrose Bierce s My Favourite Murder adapted by Jamie Stewart, and The Witch Of Coos, Robert Frost s poetic chiller, directed by Ben Nealon. The programme will change from October 25, with productions of Workprint by Sean McCann and The Monkey¹s Paw in a new adaptation by Marcus Daley from the classic tale by WW Jacobs. On Monday October 31 there is a Halloween Special including magic, poetry and The Society of Wonders. Throughout the season there will also be curtain raisers, cabaret, other oddities, and contemporary puppet shows in a Dark Third Act devised and directed by Matt Peover.
