See the short stories of celebrated Yiddish author and playwright Sholem Aleichem, as they are reimagined for the stage by the dynamic Herzliya Ensemble. Through picturesque surrealism and dark irony, the imaginary town of Kasrilevke is brought to life. Highlighting conflicts amongst the town's folk, and the consequent destruction of the tightknit Jewish community's culture, director Henig uses dreamlike caricatures and a highly visual style to examine ideas around memory, and the burning desire to rediscover a forcefully erased past. Running time: 80mins with no interval. Performed in Hebrew with English surtitles. Age Guidance 14+
