Site specific performance company Brass Bastion has been specially commissioned by The Maltings to produce Figures Half Unreal, a site-specific theatrical work installed in the former Penny Lodging House, a semi-derelict Georgian building on Eastern Lane. Drawing inspiration from enigmatic painter LS Lowry - who visited Berwick many times, fascinated by the higgledy-piggledy cobbled streets and ancient architectural landscape - Brass Bastion will work with professionals and local non-professional actors to create a magical and intriguing theatrical installation which immerses the audience in the life and times of Lowry. The performance focuses on the darker side of Lowry's life, immersing the viewer in a mysterious and unsettling world where anything can happen... and probably will... Ticket-holders will be alloted a time for entry, with numbers strictly limited due to the nature of the building and installation. Recommended age: 14+
