Details

Set in a world of Norse gods and superheroes, The Ring, is about love, power, corruption, man's relationship with the divine, what it is to be human. They have been more exhaustively analysed and debated than any opera written. Rarely performed, to witness the four operas that make up The Ring is a truly overwhelming experience. Performed in the acclaimed shortened version prepared for Birmingham City Opera by Jonathan Dove and Graham Vick.
