Details

The Diary of One Who Disappeared - about a young man who abandons his home and is lured into the forest by his sexual infatuation with a gypsy - was inspired by a woman with whom Janacek had an all-consuming, but unreciprocated passion. The same woman was later transformed into the heroine of three of his finest operas Katya Kabanove, The Cunning Little Vixen and The Makropulos Case. New production. Will tour Europe and visit Melbourne.
