Janacek's rarely performed opera
Osud tells the story of a composer, Zivny, who has written an autobiographical opera about his obsessive, tormented love for M?la, with whom he has a young son. The last act is unfinished, however: the opera cannot be concluded until it has been lived. Sung in English with English titles. Playing as part of 'The Little Greats: Short operas with huge emotions' as a double bill on some dates with Trouble in Tahiti, Cavalleria rusticana or L'enfant et les sortileges.
