Details

Leonore, loyal wife to Florestan, does not believe the rumours that he is dead but is instead convinced he has been illegally imprisoned. Disguised as a man (Fidelio) she infitrates the prison where he is held, saves his life and effects his rescue. First fully staged production in the UK for 30 years. New Production. Sung in German with English surtitles. Running time 3 hours.
