Details

The Girl of the Golden West is a fast-moving tale of love, jealousy, gambling, banditry and violence and their effect on a tight knit community. Despite the odds, the intrepid and resourceful frontierswoman Minnie gets her feller. Highly dramatic and brilliantly orchestrated La fanciulla del West was first staged in New York in 1910. It followed close on the heels of Puccini's huge success with Madama Butterfly. ENO's first production of this Puccini gem in 50 years. Sung and surtitled in English. Running time: 2hr 35mins.
