Details

The ancient story. Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, first performed in 1689, is inspired by Virgil's account of the myth which follows the burgeoning love of Aeneas, a Trojan prince, and the Queen of Carthage. New Production. Double bill Running time approx. 2hrs. Dido and Aeneas - sung in English. Les Noces - sung in Russian.
