In consolation, he has seduced Santuzza, leaving her desperate, while still nurturing his obsessive desire for Lola. Performances of Mascagni's dramatic one-act tale of passion and revenge in a Sicilian village, plus favourite items from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, sung in Italian and French with piano accompaniment.
