Details

The story of the gypsy girl Carmen whose love and passion switch from one man to another with tragic consequences. Probably the world's most famous opera and tunes. A Spanish story of love, treachery, passion and betrayal. This production is a new adaption especially for Actor Musicians, relocating the play in a contemporary Urban setting. Carmen's relationships are presented against a backdrop of Inner City tension and police surveillance, in a story of sexual passions that threaten the power of The State. Bizet's memorable score is reworked in a piece of music theatre that is both immediate and provocative.
