Details
The magical world of The Brothers Grimm is brought to life in a sequence of short tales and riddles told through text and music. This leads on to the dark story of Blond Eckbert. In the midst of a wood, a magical singing bird tells a story of an enchanted childhood. Brought up on an isolated mountain by a strange old woman, the child tries to run away but cannot escape. An extraordinary and disturbing story is uncovered beneath the fairy tale. Inspired by the films of Alfred Hitchcock, this opera is a taut psychological thriller.
