Details

Beached is based around a day at the beach where an array of unusual, humorous and surreal events occur. Each member of the cast will play a vital role in bringing the story to life. 280 pupils from Bay Primary School aged 4-11, 50 22 - 82 year olds from Bridlington community chorus, mums and toddlers from East Riding Children's Centre, teenagers from local secondary schools and members of the MENCAP Music and Movement group will make up the cast. Characters range from a single parent family to seagulls and sea creatures, joggers, grandparents, teenagers with BMXs and a group of school children with their flustered teacher. The Spa, Bridlington will be awash with seagulls flying over the audience's heads, a huge silk wave, sand, sun beds and the obligatory beach essentials, deckchairs and wind breakers.
