A chamber opera by the young Italian composer Nicola Campogrande who has been described as 'one of the most surprising talents of Italian new music'. In collaboration with Dario Voltolini, whose libretto contains a prodigious stores of ideas, the work alternates between classical and jazz traditions to muse on the subject of flying and viewing the world from high up above. With the help of an actress, a soprano, a painter, a double-bassist, a clarinettist and a sampler, a fascinating sequence of scenes unfold to bring us bird flights, space explorations and intimate observations. The effect is magical, poetic and unpredictable.
