The Silver Sword archiveOriginally written in 1956 the story explores the way in which the Balicki family is torn apart by the Germans from their home in Warsaw, Poland, in 1940, and how they succeed in reuniting themselves in Switzerland at the end of the war. Through the lens of the difficulties of surviving in a world that has been destroyed by war, the central story is about young people surviving without adult protection - a story of hope where there is none. Not sure if it's for you? The part of Bronia will be played by various child actors from each venue.
