Dialogue is taken from the book 'Irving Berlin A Daughter's Memoir' , by Mary Ellen Barrett. Written in 1997 the musical tells the life story of one of the world's most celebrated and influential popular composers, Irving Berlin, in song and dance. From a Russian immigrant busking on the streets of New York to the fame and fortune of Broadway he brought the world such songs as:
