Following the sudden death of Jodie, occasional gig reviewer and the definition of misadventure, some of her friends join forces in a Nottingham community recording studio. Local singer-songwriter Hayley has penned a song for Jodie, and the makeshift band meets to record the single for charity. However the situation quickly escalates as the group disagree about what Jodie would have wanted, and the real reasons why they've come together. Memorial? Alleviating guilt? A support group in musical form? School friend Angie had drifted away and is back to find closure. Yaz helped Jodie recapture her rebellious youth but craved a deeper connection. Russ wants to find out how much their fleeting romance meant. Jim is just trying to keep the group's creative ambitions on track.
