Details
Sherlock Holmes (The Early Years) is a glorious and affectionate spoof of Conan Doyle's legendary detective showing the young sleuth balancing the complexities of a suitably silly case with unrequited love in an adventure involving youthful incarnations of many favourite characters including a young Dr Watson, Mrs Hudson and Inspector Lestrade. The score lovingly pastiches composers', including Sondhiem and Lionel Bart and the humour is reminiscent of current hit shows by Monty Python and Mel Brooks. Sherlock Holmes (The Early Years) will be presented as the second half of a short double bill which will also feature Joan Cushing’s hit New Orleans musical Petite Rouge: A Cajun Red Riding Hood, adapted from the best selling children’s book by Mike Artell.
