Details
From her humble council flat in Basford, Nottingham, forgotten soul singer Mrs Green has become an infamous agony Aunt to her local community. To self medicate her debilitating arthritis, she grows and harvests her own marijuana plants and cooks the produce in delicious meals for herself and friends in the neighbourhood. In her younger days, Mrs Green was a talented backing singer on the UK soul and Motown scene. When the pressures of the industry got the better of her, she gave up professional music altogether. Older and wiser, she still loves to sing and write songs from the comfort of her own home. It is here we meet some of her closest friends and some unexpected guests over the course of a Summer afternoon. Whether they're visiting for advice, to relax or sing a few old songs, Mrs Green's door is always open. Running time: 1hr. Age 16+
