Details

Ostensibly, the show is about Johann Gutenberg, and the invention of the printing press. In reality, it is about two misguided writers, Doug and Bud, who believe that they can use Gutenberg's story to entertain the world and eradicate illiteracy. The show is performed in the guise of a backers' audition, for Doug and Bud to pitch their show to West End producers and investors - as they display their increasingly idiotic notions, the performance satirises the success of enthusiasm over talent.
