Copacabana archiveNew York City, showbiz capital of the world. Lola Lamar, small-town girl with big dreams of stardom trails from one steamy nightclub to another looking for her big break. Enter budding song writer, Tony Star, with dreams of his own. Smitten by the lovely Lola, he arranges an audition at the Copacabana and launches her career as a Copa girl. But the path of true love never did run smoothly and the Lola is whisked away by the villainous Rico to perform in his club, the Tropicana, in Havana.
