A remake of the master story teller Charles Dickens's Oliver Twist. Set in present day Jamaica, Blazee is the story of orphaned Oliver's heart wrenching journey through the mean streets of Kingston to find his true destiny. Lionel Bart's musical score is amplified by Reggae, Calypso and the ubiquitous Dance Hall Style. Blazee merges the unmissable evil of the first ever female 'Fanny Fagin' who leads a vivacious cast of rebellious pickpocketing pickney.
