Martin Schwietzke, who was last seen at the Barbican with juggling partner Jérôme Thomas during bite03, returns to the Pit with his new show L'Ecume de l'Air, once again as part of the London International Mime Festival. This time, Schwietzke is joined by musician Michel Bismut. L'Ecume de l'Air, a virtuoso concert piece for juggler and double-bass, is full of mystery, joy and sensuality and combines Schwietzke’s object manipulation with Bismut's score of modern classical, jazz and Mediterranean sounds. The pair enchant and engulf the audience with an exhilarating display of juggling skills and music making, creating a harmony between objects, space and rhythm. L'Ecume de l'Air is part of Paris Calling, a Franco-British season of performing arts.
