Details
Many years ago lonely Irish fishermen coming home to their crofts shared stories of the seals that shed their skins on land to become women. If a man were to capture that skin and prevent the Selkie (as the seal women were called) from putting it back on and returning to the sea, she would have no choice but to live with the man and be his wife. And, so every so often, the dark blood of the seals is mixed with that of a human and a child of dark emotions and unusual ways is born. The child of the Selkie Bride.
