The Big Friendly Giant (BFG), one of Roald Dahl's popular children's stories. When Sophie is snatched from her bed one night by a giant, she is relieved to discover that this particular giant is the BFG and not one of his disgusting neighbours who guzzle little chiddlers. It is the start of an amazing adventure which ends up with Sophie and the BFG hatching a plan to rid the world of unfriendly giants for ever - even the Queen gets involved. The BFG website.
