Geppetto, the old wood carver, sets to work making a puppet out of an old piece of wood. But something magical happens. The puppet comes to life! This is the tale of the mischievous and cheeky Pinocchio. No matter how hard he tries to be good, he just keeps getting in to trouble. And he can't hide the fact that he's telling tales because his nose gives him away by growing longer and longer. From the moment old man Geppetto carves his little puppet, trouble abounds - Pinocchio wants to be a real boy! Pinocchio’s journey takes him from circus to school, from the strange world of Freetown to the ocean and back home again. Pursued by a devious fox and his sidekick, he must learn what it is to have the heart and soul of a human. Beset by dangers and pitfalls, Pinocchio makes his way through a surreal world of naughty children, magical princesses and crickets with a conscience. Oh - and of course his nose grows, and grows and grows!
