Details

Nonsense is a collaboration between three of the members of the Homemade Orchestra, Tim Whitehead, Colin Riley and Liam Noble. Each have used the two books of Nonsense poetry by children's poet Laureate Michael Rosen and created a musical setting. These have then been blended together to form a dramatic 'nonsense story'. Michael Rosen, who performs with the orchestra, is the soloist reciting his poems within a string of musical sound worlds. Along the way you'll hear some very weird sounds, some beautiful music, and plenty of funky rhythms. Watch out also for the Smeenge, Something under the Rug and a Storm of Baked Beans! This tour is generously supported by the Arts Council of England.
