For children aged 6 and above and their families. 120 minutes including interval. Join us as we take you back 200 years to a land where King Leopold reigns. In a small house lives Cinderella, a young girl in mourning who fights against a new family, consigned to her kitchen and alone in her sorrow. But now the king is throwing a party, a lavish ball to find a bride for his son. Surely a mere kitchen maid could never be invited to the palace? The play is set in a fictional representation of Mannheim, Germany in 1777, the same time that an out-of-work Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart arrived in the city, in search of a job worthy of his talents. Mozart appears as a character in the play - the Prince's sidekick, Wolfie - and his music accompanies the piece throughout. Underscored with classical music and brimming with theatrical magic, this is a beautiful and emotionally charged staging of the original rags-to-riches story, perfect for the whole family.
