Alice's second adventures in the crazy world of Lewis The Walrus and the Carpenter, the Lion and Unicorn, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare Tweedledum and Tweedledee and the whole population of the chessboard jostle and fret in colourful confusion, stalked by the sinister Jaberwocky - until the smallest of the chess-pieces proves that even a Pawn can be a hero!
