Details
Women of Mass Destruction is an evening of exciting new dance work which looks at the destruction of the female body. With choreography from a range of emerging UK dance and performance artists, the evening will include bold and risky new work with provocative perspectives on alternative roles for women. In Women of Mass Destruction 2, four artists will look at the relationship between women and nature. The theme is inspired by Lydia's next dance work That Which Grows which will be presented as part of the evening's programme. The piece explores secrets and lies, reflecting on how attempting to preserve what we hold most dear can actually destroy the world around us. The programme will also include #Flashbacklash# by Heidi Sepp?l?, a solo performance that asks whether technology has replaced the real connections with one another and with nature, Beauty-fool by Konstantina Skalionta, a performance that reflects on beauty and body image, and We're Headed For A Drought - But Aren't They Lovely? by Nina von der Werth, a trio inspired by studies of water usage that asks whether the message, or the way it is presented, is most relevant.
