Details

Verve - the touring group from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds showing the next generation of contemporary dance. The 2016 programme presents works by four international choreographers. Lachky's fast and physical movement style sees all twelve dancers move rapidly across the stage, displaying strength and power in a full-company work. Protopapa joins VERVE having presented choreography across the The Netherlands, Germany and Greece, using wit and absurdity to explore characteristics of humanity with the dancers. Founding-member of New Movement Collective, Wiser creates a technical, intricate piece, dynamically tackling issues relevant to the human condition. Completing the programme, Vahla transforms the stage into an imaginary world where the dancers use movement to deeply investigate the human psyche. Verve website.
