Returning after their LDIF18 debut, Urban Jazz Dance Company will present a mixed bill of work exploring issues affecting the international Deaf community. The company interweave American sign language with urban jazz rhythms to create thought-provoking performances that capture the imagination. Deaf's Imprisoned explores what it means to be living in a ?prison within a prison? as a D/deaf person in the criminal justice system. The evening will explore the tension between Deaf utopia and Deaf diaspora.
