Lea Anderson formed The Cholmondeleys with Teresa Barker and Gaynor Coward in 1984 after graduating from the Laban Centre. In 1988 Lea established the all-male company The Featherstonehaughs. She has won three consecutive Digital Dance Awards, a Time Out/01 for London Award, a London Dance and Performance Award, and was a finalist in the prestigious Bagnolet competition. Originally created in 1998, The Featherstonehaughs draw on the Sketch Books of Egon Schiele, brings to life the tormented and stunning artistic vision of Austrian expressionist visual artist Egon Schiele. Loaded with energy and with a new six strong all male, Featherstonehaugh company, the show has been dynamically re-worked featuring entirely new music played live by Steve Blake and Will Saunders and striking costumes by three times Oscar winner Sandy Powell.
